“I love wide open spaces. You can’t capture that space on small piece of paper or canvas but you can capture its beauty. My paintings are a struggle between the precise, logical side of my brain, which wants to impose structure and order on the painting, and the other side of me that operates on an emotional level and tries to capture the passion a scene inspires. The results are thoughtful, but not intellectual, bypassing the brain to appeal directly to the eye and heart."
